And no one wants to live in such a toxic atmosphere. So, what can you do to make an equilibrium between the two?

  1. Manage your time: We all know we cannot hold time, nor do we mend it according to our preference. So, let’s adjust ourselves in such a manner that we can use it properly.Keep a planner or plan your work. Stick to it. Turn busy into balance.
  2. Never enter your home with the work file: Leave the work at your workplace, make sure to keep the pressure, work-related stress at the doorsteps. Try to relax and spend your time with your family.
  3. Prioritize your work: Analyse and work on the critical work on a priority basis. Don’t waste time on unnecessary works; this will, later on, kill your quality time and force you to extend your working hours.
  4. Outsource some of your work: Don’t do multitasking beyond your limits that will absorb all your time you can share with your family. Instead, if you can afford, outsource your work be it house core work- or job-related work. It will help to buy some quality time for the family. Don’t hesitate to take the steps.
  5. Discuss your problems with your partner: Be open with your spouse regarding your office problems; this will make them realize your situation, and they will complain less.
  6. Never take your problem to the workplace: Sometimes, when things are not going the way it should be, and you engrossed in a nasty fight with your family. Don’t carry this emotion with your workplace. Taking your house problems to the workplace will hamper your productivity. 
  7. Connect with technology for a short period: Most of the time, it’s the technology in the form of television, smartphones, and the internet that very efficiently steal our time, and we never recognize that. So, take a break from these things for some time rather than connect with your family and friends.
  8. Create a social support network: It’s highly essential to build a strong and trustworthy social network for well-being. A robust social circle helps a lot in neutralizing by providing valuable advice; massive support also declutters your mind.
  9. Do some mental exercise: Workout on your mental well-being by listening to some soothing music, doing meditation, and yoga. It will calm your mind to work for you efficiently and help you control your mind for decisions and avoid arguments.
  10. You can try downshifting: In downshifting, people reduce their work hours to gain more quality time for their loved ones. They also focus on reducing their spending and bard themselves from the rat race. They even try to change a career that can match their values.

Life becomes challenging when you have to live with fights; negativity.

Always try to balance it so that it will not overlap your mental peace. Family is significant, so is the job.

To make both of them happy, you have to work on yourself. Although you cannot make everyone happy by meeting their expectations, you can take small steps to get a satisfactory result.
